Baltic Platform
Comrades, I am glad to welcome all the young fighters for justice gathered here.
My name is Sasha and I represent the Baltic Platform from Latvia, a country that is actually occupied by NATO and completely subordinated to the will of the USA and its Western European satellites. Our meeting here is vital for all of us because fighting alone within our own countries is an impossible task without international solidarity, coordinated actions and positions. The current historical moment clearly shows us that the reactionary imperialist alliance still dominates around the world — in days when our hearts are with the people of Iran, Palestine and other victims of violent imperialist aggression, we see that the aggressor himself has called his summit here in the Netherlands to once again divide the whole world into spheres of influence, to enslave free peoples and turn them into colonies. We are here to declare loudly and clearly that as long as our hearts beat, we will fight against them and these disgusting plans!
We, the youth, have a great responsibility for the future of our world. Inspired by the feats and learning from the mistakes of our predecessors, we must educate ourselves in the spirit of internationalism, friendship of peoples, unselfishness and courage, to be ready at any moment to enter into a decisive battle with our existential enemy — capitalism and imperialism as its highest stage.
I must admit that in Latvia and in the Baltic States in general our successes have not yet been great, unfortunately. This is because imperialism is controlling people not only in military and administrative way — the worst thing is that it is also taking over the minds of our peoples. Class consciousness is being extinguished in every possible way, replacing it with toxic ideologies of fascism, nazism and xenophobia. Open hatred towards all minorities in these countries — first of all Russians, but also Slavs in general, as well as Muslims — is cultivated on purpose. These people are blamed for all the problems created by the puppet government. The most striking example is the actual collapse of health care and school education systems in Latvia, against the background of the ever-increasing military budget — up to the notorious 5% of GDP, about which NATO Secretary General Rutte speaks all the time. And at the same time, our country’s media space is filled with news not about these pressing problems, but only about the war in Ukraine and the alleged “external threat” to the existence of the Latvian nation.
In this light, the primary task becomes the struggle against the cultural hegemony of the imperialist alliance and its servants, the information struggle, the exchange of materials, creating our own media resources, cultural events and art. Only by taking back the minds of our peoples, especially the youth, can we mobilize them to fight for our common righteous cause. And I believe that our generation can do it.
